Vrijdag 18 tot en met maandag 21 april vindt in Amsterdam de tiende editie plaats van het Gay & Lesbian International Eastern Badminton Tournament. De Amsterdamse roze sportclub Tijgertje-Badminton organiseert het toernooi, met wedstrijden in verschillende categorieën voor dames en heren enkel en dubbel en gemengd dubbel. De wedstrijdlocatie is sporthal De Pijp in Oud-Zuid, vlak achter het Okura Hotel.
Opwarmen kan vanaf 09.00 uur, de wedstrijden beginnen om 10.00 uur. De medailles worden zondag om 18.00 uur uitgereikt. Daarnaast zijn er op zowel zaterdag als zondag prijzen te winnen voor de fraaiste outfitjes. Zondagavond begint om 22.00 uur de Badminton Easter Party. Maandag wordt afgesloten met een paasbrunch vanaf 11.00 uur.

We are happy to announce the 11th International Gay & Lesbian Easter Badminton Tournament Amsterdam, which will take place from 25th till 28th March 2016.
From today players can register for the tournament at http://easter.gay-badminton-amsterdam.nl/, where they can also find all information about the event. Registration closes 14th March 2016 or earlier if the maximum of 250 participants has been reached.
The tournament is open for players of all levels, including beginners with little or no tournament experience.
Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, special, Olympic-size medals with a 76-mm diameter have been struck.
The tournament fee is 55 euros and includes lunches on both tournament days and a ticket for the super after-tournament party on Sunday night.
For those looking for a place to stay we have booked five single and six double rooms at a reduced rate at the recently opened Amsterdam Motel One. The motel is within walking distance of sports hall De Pijp, where the tournament will take place. We can also try and arrange a homestay. Check the tournament website for more information.
