Op maandag 25 juli, tijdens Europride, vindt bij de Universiteit van Amsterdam een conferentie plaats over Roze Ouderen in Zorg en Welzijn, ‘Spotlight on LGBT seniors’. Deze internationale conferentie wordt georganiseerd door Roze 50+, het samenwerkingsverband van ANBO en COC. De voertaal is Engels. On Monday July 25, 2016, during EuroPride, the first International Conference on LGBT seniors in the (social) care will take place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Speakers and organizations of several European countries will share their best practices in the field of LGBT seniors in the (social) care sector in order to learn from each other’s approach. With keynote speakers from England and The Netherlands ánd with interactive ‘theme tables’ about good practices on the ‘Care sector and LGBT Seniors’ in Europe, this conference will be stimulating and thought-provoking for every professional in the (social) care sector in Europe! Raising awareness on diversity, training for care professionals in Finland, research on housing and care for LGBT seniors in Berlin and the impact of sharing life stories in the Netherlands are some of the topics that will be shared.
