NICA, The Research Group Bodies, Gender and Sexualities (ASCA), the department of Literary Studies and the Department of Literary Studies are delighted to present Joseph A. Boone, Professor of English, Gender Studies and Comparative Literature at The University of South California, Dornsife. Professor Boone researches the novel as genre, gender and queer studies, narrative theory, and modernism. His publications include Libidinal Currents: Sexuality and the Shaping of Modernism (Univ. of Chicago Press, 1998) and Queer Frontiers: Millennial Geographies, Genders, and Generations (Co-edition, University of Wisconsin Press, 2000). He will talk about his most recent book: The Homoerotics of Orientalism (Columbia University Press, 2014).
